My first little blog

OK, so I’m going to level with you – I never wanted to write this blog … in fact, I know nothing about blogs! Before today I’d never written a blog – actually I’d never even read a blog. Everybody kept telling me I “had to have a blog”, “all the best companies have blogs”, “blogging will change your life and the world!”
So reluctantly I started to do a bit of thinking and a bit of research into what I could actually blog about. I mean, I don’t really have any special skills that I can pass onto the world, I don’t particularly have any interesting stories and I definitely don’t have any funny jokes. I don’t know any celeb gossip, I’ve only ever seen about 3 films so can’t post movie reviews, my taste in music is about as middle of the road as is possible and my knowledge of cars only extends as far as being able to put the back seats down.
I started to ask around as to what I could blog about. I could write about how we print our T-Shirts – but really who is interested in that? I could write about what new designs we had done this week and how good they were – but you can see those for yourself. I could find the funniest videos of babies talking to dogs on youtube and repost them – hmmm, maybe not.
And that’s when it struck me – I’ll just write about whatever ‘normal’ people talk about. I’d like to think I’m pretty normal, if such a thing exists. I have a pretty normal and monotonous job, I live in a fairly normal flat in roughly the centre of a middle/working class town in the middle of the country. I drive a Ford Focus and I like football, TV, beer and burgers. These are the kind of things ‘normal’ people like aren’t they?
So that’s what I’ll do. I’ll try and chuck in a few of our favourite T-Shirts if they’re relevant, but mainly it’ll just be a chance for me to talk directly to you … like two friends having a good chat over a cup of tea. I hope I’ll come to love this little blog and it will turn into something really beautiful, a chance for me to interact directly with you and hopefully for you to get in touch with me. But whatever happens I’m sure it’ll all be OK in the end … right?
So that’s the first blog done … that wasn’t too difficult, I don’t know what I was worrying about. It might not have been earth-shatteringly original or interesting, but it was a blog nonetheless. I haven’t got a clue what I’ll be talking about in the next blog … it could be the importance of the tax system in delivering the wider development of society in a macroeconomic environment … but most probably it will just be about what I had from the Chinese last night.
Ta-ta for now
